Mary Layne is originally from Southern California. Weary of the traffic in Los Angeles and the relentless sunshine, she left 17 years ago and relocated to the Washington DC area. After living in Washington, DC for 10 years she moved to Reston, and then Alexandria, Virginia. She is very familiar with the neighborhoods in Virginia.

Mary spent over 30 years working as an economist in both the private sector and government. She retired from the Census Bureau three years ago. Most of her career was focused on mathematical modeling. One of Mary’s strengths is her methodical approach to any challenge.

Mary is drawn to real estate because she wants to impact people’s lives in a substantive and positive way. Mary understands a real estate transaction is one of the biggest decisions in a person’s life. Mary pledges to aid and educate her clients throughout the entire real estate process.
